During Babauta’s last visit to PCC in April, he asked ASPCC officers what the students need in school. ASPCC President Jewish O. Ngiraikelau replied that they need more computers at PCC.
True enough, when Babauta came back this month, he again visited PCC; this time, with three computers in tow.
“It was a gift and donation for all PCC students,” Ngiraikelau said in an interview. “On behalf of all PCC students, we would like to thank him for his generosity. He really provided good services.”
According to Ngiraikelau, the computers are now at the ASPCC office for use and benefit of all PCC students.
PCC President Patrick Tellei, together with Ngiraikelau and Loserino Oran, President of Chuuk Student Organization; Mairenda Silara, President of Pohnpei Student Organization; Leilani Etpison, President of Republic of Palau Student Organization and Sharp Masau Ldesel, Freshmen Representative of Palau Community College were on hand to accept the donation.
Babauta was in Palau to hand over grants amounting to at least $800,000. These are for airport security, Budget ofiice and bank training.
