Bureau of Public Safety Deputy Director Jennifer Olegeriil said this week, cadets will start their two-week survival exercise that will include swimming under the Japan-Palau Friendship Bridge which will lead to their survival swim from the Meyuns Sea Plane ramp to Ngar abal Island and back.
On Monday, cadets have resumed their classroom training after weeks of practical training on the field.
Olegeriil lauded the trainees for their efforts during the Micronesian Games.
She said that cadets have added manpower to the police officers in conducting security during the event.
The LEA was started on May 31.
Thirty five participants from the different police departments, private sectors and other individuals have joined the police training. These include airport police, Koror State Rangers, three police officers, two from the Congress, Palau Community College securities, one from IMPAC and the rest are individual trainees.
However, out of 35 participants only 29 have continued with the training. The six have quitted on the physical training exercise.
Aim of the enforcement training to make cadets become a better police officer.
The training covers a series of law enforcement and policing courses as well as the daily physical fitness program.
