The Red Cross Disaster Action Team responded to the scene immediately to provide assistance to displaced residents and support to fire personnel.
The Red Cross provided the victims with food, shelter, clothing, and beddings.
John Hirsh, Executive Director of the American Red Cross-NMI chapter, stated that “this is where the funds that we raise from Walkathon go.”
He added, “The community has been really good to the Red Cross over the years, and without the community and the volunteers, we would not be able to provide these types of services to the public.”
