After that, canoe racers will be flexing their muscles up for the real deal next Saturday, April 17 in the 1,500-meters and-500 meter sprints.
Actions will continue on April 24, this time, participants will be braving a six-mile stretch across Saipan lagoon in the long distance race.
This will determine who will emerge to be in the championship cruise—a 1,500-meter and 500-meter races on May 8.
Saipan Southern High School, Kagman High School and Marianas High School and Mount Carmel School are competing in this event.
Saipan Outrigger Canoe Club will be helping to organize the events and make arrangement for the canoes in the competition.
