Latest burglaries and thefts under police probe

Based on the report on June 20, the Emmaus Main Office at the Ngerchemai, Koror was broke in by an unidentified suspect.

According to the investigation, suspect opened the office’s main door and carted away three checks and $400 cash. Two of the checks belonged to two employees and one check is contribution to a funeral. However the two checks were already cashed out by the employees and the other one voided.

The case is under police investigation.

Meanwhile on June 22, the Belechel Store in Ngerchemai hamlet was entered by an unknown suspects who stole assorted cigarettes, beers and other grocery items amounting to more than $100.

Police probe disclosed that the suspect entered the store by opening the flexi glass window.

The case is pending for further investigation.

On the same day at around 12:25 p.m. a minor suspect was arrested for stealing a purse owned by Mary Tellames.

The purse was stolen inside the victim’s vehicle while it was parked at the New Juice City Store in Ngerkesoaol.

After the item was recovered and returned to the owner, Tellames refused to file charges against the suspect.

The minor suspect, however, was still charged with minor consumption of alcohol as heappeared to be drunk when arrested by the police.

The suspect was booked and detained at the Division of Corrections.
