One hundred pounds of fresh watermelon, 100 lbs. of pumpkins and another 100 lbs. of tongang were brought by the women to the hospital all the way from GAU Sers Company farm in Airai.
Geggie A. Udui, Assistant Chairman of Ngasayaml/Ngerkesaol Women’s Association, said, it was their first time to donate to the hospital. Their group, which has 25 members, is devoted to doing civic activities.
The fresh fruits and vegetables were gladly accepted by Minister of Health Stevenson Kuartei.
