THE Department of Public Safety-Criminal Investigation Bureau investigated four death incidents in May, Assistant Chief of Police Simon Manacop said.
“Two cases were ruled as suicides, the other one was ruled as natural causes…it was only in the death of Shayne B. Villanueva that a request for autopsy was submitted to the attorney general,” Manacop added.
“No decision yet from the AG, and no manner of death ruled yet for Villanueva,” Manacop said.
DPS launched an investigation into the death of Villanueva, 42, a local businessman, on May 19, after his body was found at an apartment in Kagman 3 following a welfare check request from a friend.
Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Bureau were activated to initiate a death investigation.
