NMI DARE officers complete training in New Jersey

The training was provided by DARE New Jersey Inc. and the participating officers were recommended by their supervisors.

The three officers from the CNMI run the local DARE program.

In New Jersey, they joined over 30 participants from different eastern states, some of whom have never heard of Saipan or Rota or the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.

During the training, they formed different groups or teams so they would get to know their colleagues.  At the end of their mentoring, they shared information from their teams with the other attendees.

All throughout the graduation ceremony, the three CNMI officers were cheered for having to endure the long journey from the islands to the East Coast.

Each team selected a team leader who later received a Team Leader Award Medal.  One such medal went to Officer Buddy Sean Salas Igitol, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ivan and Marie Salas Igitol.

I would like to thank their supervisors for sending these fine disciplined officers this side of the nation as I enjoyed spending some time with them.
