Kaipat named Northern Islands mayor’s office employee of the year

Mayor Tobias DLG. Aldan said Kaipat, a community worker on Alamagan, was also named employee of the month for February and November.

“He and our other personnel are very hard working. I send them to the Northern Islands every month. I go there every three months to visit them.

When they are here on Saipan, they make sure they give back to the community by conducting cleanup drives. They cut the bushes and clean roadsides here,” the mayor said.

In an interview, Kaipat said he did not expect to get the top award.

“I was just working hard with our other team members,” he added.

Saying he would want to win the award again next year, Kaipat admitted that he considers every day  a challenge.
