A diverse and exciting holiday program at Tanapag Elementary School scheduled for Friday, Dec. 23 from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. at their outside courtyard.
Variety popped into the school and caught rehearsal of the combined fourth and fifth grade Chamorro and Carolinian Language Heritage Studies class singing its heart out with gusto and joy in preparation for the school’s holiday parents and community performance.
The musical choice to acknowledge and celebrate their amazing diversity was “We wish you a merry Christmas” with verses sung in the languages of Chamorro, Carolinian, Filipino, Pohnpeian, Yapese, Chuukese, Thai, Chinese, Bangladeshi, Japanese and English.
Principal Jessica Taylor and her 194 exceptional students invite the greater community to attend and enjoy the best of what an active and diverse neighborhood school has to showcase.
“Our students and parents are wonderful and we’d love to have the public join in our celebration of Christmas spirit and community,” she said.
