“Thank you for bringing this matter to my attention. I am not aware of any couple from Chalan Kanoa calling my office to complain. Please tell the couple to call the police…to file a complaint,” Mafnas told Variety in an email on Friday afternoon.
He added, “There is an office at the DPS police division assigned for that purpose and tasked with answering complaints and taking reports. I will refer your email to the appropriate police commanders.”
Last Thursday, a couple called Variety and said they were surprised to see two uniformed police officers roaming inside their compound and looking for their son-in-law at about 9:15 a.m.
The couple said the officers didn’t have a search or arrest order from the court.
An officer who responded after the housewife called 911 told her there was no “No Trespassing” sign by their steel gate.
The housewife said the officers didn’t even to knock, call out, use their police siren, or honk their horn to call their attention before entering their compound.
The housewife said their private compound has a fence and gates.
She added that the officers did not even apologize to them.
