“All the hard work has paid off. The long meetings and Saturdays was an indicator that we all cared about our school for our children. This is indeed historic because for the first time after many WASC visits, the school received such an excellent term,” he said.
Barcinas said the school’s achievements and accomplishments were made possible because of the “superb and hard work, and the passionate enthusiasm of all the teachers and staff in providing a nurturing and safe campus in an efficient manner to build a purposeful community.”
He added, “They provided different educational resources and opportunities so our students can continue to become good citizens within our community.”
Barcinas said the school will continue to maintain its high standards.
He said many of their buildings are being renovated, which includes repainting, installation of new air-conditioning units and window shutters as well as an upgrade of the electrical system.
The school will also improve its extracurricular activities, student leadership and competitions, Barcinas said.
“We accomplished all this within such a short time because of the huge support coming from the commissioner of education, Dr. Rita A. Sablan, federal programs officer Tim Thornburgh, Congressman Gregorio Kilili Camacho Sablan, Board of Education officials and the executive branch,” he added.
