Superior Court Judge Kenneth L. Govendo retained the $66,000 bail imposed on Fujihira, 41, a Rota resident.
Govendo said he will entertain a motion for bail modification after he denied the oral motion of Assistant Public Defender Matthew Meyer to reduce the bail.
Meyer said the defendant has no money and has only a piece of property to post as bail.
Govendo remanded Fujihira to the custody of the Department of Corrections after the hearing.
Assistant Attorney General Tiberius Mocanu represented the government.
Fujihira is being held on charges of sexual abuse of a minor in the first and second degree, incest, indecent exposure, child abuse, domestic violence, assault and battery, and disturbing the peace.
Detective Francis B. Manglona said Detective George Barcinas received a call on Nov. 3, 2011 from the Division of Youth Services on Saipan regarding an anonymous call from Rota about a possible sexual abuse of a minor case.
When interviewed, the victim told police that the first incident occurred sometime in 2007.
After the incident, Fujihira gave the victim $5, and another $10 not to tell anyone.
Fujihira attempted to again abuse the victim sometime last February, but failed, police said.
