Man gets 118 days for interfering with a domestic violence

Maruame was ordered not to have any contact with his victims for the duration of his probation period.

Maruame will pay a $100 fine, a $25 court assessment fee, and a $100 probation fee. He will complete 50 hours of community work service.

Following his release from custody, he will report to the Community Guidance Center for an evaluation on anger management, alcohol abuse  and other issues identified by the counselor. He will abide by the recommended treatment.

Chief Prosecutor Michael Ernest represented the government while Chief Public Defender Adam Hardwicke served as Maruame’s counsel.

Maruame was earlier arrested for assault with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery, criminal mischief, and disturbing the peace.

Police said Maruame hit his son-in-law in the face with a stick and beat up his daughter at the couple’s residence in San Antonio.
