Jong Tae Park, who came from the hotel’s head office in South Korea, started performing his duties as the new manager.
Saipan World Resort local sales and public relations manager Michael Babauta said at the same meeting, the hotel employees also bid goodbye to outgoing manager Myung Wook Park.
“Park has been with us since February and he left yesterday morning to go back to the main office in Korea,” Babauta said.
Saipan World Resort human resources manager Miriam Seman said they worked with Myung Wook Park, also known as Matthew, as their general manager since February.
“Matthew has not only been our boss and coworker, but our friend and our brother,” Seman said.
She said they have been through good and bad times together, and through it all, “Matthew showed leadership, compassion and love for everyone in the Saipan World Resort family.”
“It has been an honor working with Matthew. I want to say, from deep in my heart, that we love you. We will pray for you so that everything that you do in the future,” Seman said.
The hotel employees presented Matthew with a plaque expressing their gratitude for his service at the Saipan World Resort.
