Ferrera 63, Konflikt 62 in QQ League

James Abuy’s three pointer and Wowie Abuel’s jumper saved the Ferrera Builders from team Konflikt.

Gilbert Miranda’s eight points during the first quarter of the game ignited the Ferrera Builders’ winning rally allowing them an early five point lead, 19-14.

After two minutes of silence from both teams, Abuel nailed a pair of jumpers followed by a three pointer from teammate Abuy to preserve their lead at the bottom of the first half, 36-33.

Team Konflikt managed to cut the lead short to one shaky point after Elmer Esdrelon collared a pair of three pointers during the last minute of the game, 51-50.

James Abuy garnered two more three pointers to give the Ferrera Builders a one point lead, 61-60 at one minute and ten seconds left in the game.

Yosh Gabaldon received a quick pass and shot for two points to take the lead back from the former. Abuel delivered with a quick inbound pass and side-step for another two points.

At 9 seconds a time-out was called. An opportunity was given to a Konflikt forward from a quick inbound pass.

The ball was thrown-up, came up short, and was lipped off of the rim giving the win to the Ferrera Builders, 63-62.

Sonics route Madness, 94-67

Sonics earned their fifth win during the second game of the 2nd Season QQ Car Rental Basketball League roaring past the Rollers Madness, 94-76.

Ivan De Vero’s charity shots earned the Rollers Madness an early one point lead over the reigning Sonics, 22-21.

Manny Matagolai’s 9 point marker allowed the Madness to balloon their lead to two points, 44-42, during the second period.

Team Sonics finally got their act together upon entering the second half of the game. Together they pulled 17 points together foiling the Madness, 59-58.

During the last ten minutes of the game, the Sonics surged past the Madness. Tom Santos and Jason Bahillio each marked six points for the Sonics while teammates Leo Galarse and Lerio Pagarao garnered and five points and four points respectively to end the Madness at 94-67.
