Tournament director Ben Babauta said proceeds will be used to help fund for the Mt. Tapochao Rehabilitation Project.
Over $400,000 in prizes are at stake this year.
“The most attractive prizes during annual golf tournaments are only found here,” he added.
The hole in one prizes include a 2011 Mazda 3, a 2011 Ford Fiesta, $50,000 cash, two business elite tickets to any destination in the United States, $25,000 cash, and a year of free golf at Laolao.
$1,000 cash will go to the closest to the pin winner.
For the men’s open competition, prizes at stake are $600, $500 and $400 for the first to third top placers, digital camera for the fourth placers, and $100 gift certificates from DFS Galleria for fifth placers.
For the ladies-low gross competition, prizes are $600, $500 and $400 for first, second and third places.
All first, second and third placers in the ladies-low net competition will get trophies.
Babauta said the tournament fee is $175, inclusive of two days of golf and the awards banquet which will follow the tournament on Sunday at Laolao Bay’s The Grill Restaurant.
Babauta said the fee has never changed since the first tournament in 1996.
