Rasiang was arrested after the victim, Melvin Tudela, identified him based on the defendant’s photo on Facebook.
Rasiang is being held on charges of assault and battery, assault with a dangerous weapon, and disturbing the peace.
Judge Kenneth L. Govendo imposed a $10,000 bail order on Rasiang who was due to appear in Superior Court for his initial appearance and bail hearing yesterday afternoon.
Tudela suffered a three-centimeter laceration and had to have five staples in the back of his head.
Rasiang hit Tudela in the head three times using a pipe-like object that could be expanded, according to Donald Crisostomo, a witness.
Another witness, Herman Santos, said defendant punched him on the nose, causing him the fall to the ground.
Rasiang escaped using his black Toyota Tacoma pickup, police said.
Prior to the incident, Tudela said he was urinating by the pine trees when he saw Rasiang punched Santos.
Tudela approached Rasiang to ask what the problem was, but the defendant pulled out a pipe-like object and expanded it.
Rasiang hit Tudela three times, police said.
Only July 12, Tudela informed Pangelinan that he had identified Rasiang on Facebook.
