The winner is selected based on raffle ticket sales sold for the annual traditional event.
This year’s queen is Alyssa Naomi Chaco Charfauros, of Agat, who was sponsored by the Agat Mayor’s Office. She raised $8,981.
Royal Princess is Amanda Blas, of Mangilao, and sponsored by the Mangilao Mayor’s Office. She raised $7,267. First runner-up is Jesalina Nacino, of Yigo, who raised $6,926.
The rest of the royal court are Danicka Jo Cruz, of Dededo, who raised $5,116; followed by Randi Perez, of Yoña, $4,790; Julieanna Gumabon, of Barrigada, $4,420; Kamalen Cruz, of SinajaNa, $3,345; Lelani Rae Borja, of Tamuning, $3,200; Kaeleilani Noleen San Miguel, of Santa Rita, $1,890; and Deshennay A. Santos, of Tumon, who raised $430.
The total amount raised by all the candidates was $46,364. A portion of the proceeds will go to the candidates and the remaining amount to the Liberation Committee.
The coronation ceremony for Charfauros and her royal court is set for 6 p.m. on June 25 at the center stage of the Liberation Carnival in Hagåtña at the Paseo de Susanna.
