Speaker Eli D. Cabrera, R-Saipan, said Babauta along with two experts from the U.S. Department of Commerce will conduct a presentation at 1:30 p.m., July 13, in the House chamber.
He said Nicole Mayerhauser and Aya Hamano of the U.S. commerce department’s Bureau of Economic Analysis will present the 2008 to 2009 GDP estimates report.
Cabrera said OIA economist, Wali Osman, will be with the visiting team.
The speaker said this will be the first time they will get the chance to discuss with the federal officials the commonwealth’s GDP.
Cabrera and Senate President Paul A. Manglona, Ind-Rota, have invited all members of the Legislature to attend the presentation.
