Miah has been indicted for conspiracy and unlawful production/transfer of CNMI driver’s license, along with several co-defendants. He had denied the charges.
Yesterday, visiting federal Judge William Q. Hayes continued the violation hearing for Miah who was arrested by the local police on May 25, 2011 on the charge of illegal possession of marijuana.
The Federal Probation Office informed the court that Miah was arrested and booked at the Department of Corrections facility on charges of disturbing the peace and contempt on July 16.
Miah was released on July 18, according to court documents. He had yet to appear in Superior Court.
Calistro Crisostimo, the boyfriend of Dolores Tahira Miah, was also arrested, according to the Federal Probation Office report.
It was not mentioned in the report the nature of the charge and the status of the case against Crisostimo.
Dolores Tahira Miah is also a defendant in the unlawful production of CNMI driver’s license case, and is the former wife of Mr. Miah.
She had admitted the charge of conspiracy to unlawfully produce and transfer of a CNMI driver’s license. She is due for sentencing on Sept. 21, 2011.
On July 16, DPS responded to Crisostimo’s residence regarding a possible disturbing the peace incident that involved Mr. Miah. It was his former wife, Tahira, who called the police.
On same day, police were again dispatched to a reported disturbance incident in As Lito, where Mr. Miah met responding police officers and complained that Crisostimo called him on the phone, saying: “Next time you bring your boy to my house no more. I’m gonna’ kill him.”
