Relish the comfortable feeling as your feet sink into the blue and green soft, rubber mattress on the floor and watch the joy erupt on your children’s faces as they crawl in the rubber tunnels, bounce up and down in the rubber trampoline, hop for rides in the mini-carousel, and have the best times of their lives in the huge playhouse that occupies a big portion of the playground area.
Walter Yu, manager of Let’s Go Play! and the soon-to-be-opened Twelve Chefs Restaurant in Garapan, said they designed Let’s Go Play! to be the next destination for families to leave their small children while they run errands, have a leisurely meal when Twelve Chefs will open, and do other things without worrying about their children, or spend quality time with their kids inside the playground.
Yu said aside from the huge playground area, Let’s Go Play! has three spacious rooms where kids can watch educational cartoon shows on television, a library where kids can read, learn how to draw, write, listen to stories, or join the 10-15 minute regular dancing sessions.
“Let’s Go Play! is not all about playing but it’s a combination of educational development and learning process,” Yu said.
Let’s Go Play! has five certified play attendants who are qualified to take care of children.
“Our play attendants are school teachers who have child cardiopulmonary resuscitation or CPR certificates, with years of experience in child care, so you can be assured that your children are in good hands,” Yu said.
The facility is also insured.
Let’s Go Play! can accommodate up to 60 children at a time, with a ratio of one play attendant to eight kids which, Yu said, meets the standard requirement for playgrounds.
A small portion of the playground area is also allotted for children three years old and below. A section is also being completed where parents and guardians can sit, have coffee and watch their kids enjoy, or eat together with their children. Individuals who want to bond with their children or with other parents can also sit outside at the balcony.
Let’s Go Play! will operate under the supervision of Sophie Yeon. It is designed to complement the Twelve Chefs Restaurant under Mr. Jay.
Yeon said that they will be offering different activities for the kids every day.
“We will be extending our operating hours at the playground up to 9 p.m. when the Twelve Chefs Restaurant opens,” Yu said.
Let’s Go Play! will have an open house starting tomorrow and until Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
“We invite everybody to bring their children tomorrow until Saturday to check out our facilities and playground, and play,” Yu said.
They are already open for membership where members can enjoy discounted rates. Walk-in clients are also welcome. Major credit cards will soon be accepted, Yu said.
