The graduates provided Variety with a few words they wanted to share with the community:

“This year has so many memories that we will always cherish and carry with us for the rest of our lives. We met our teachers who encouraged us to grow up and be successful; teachers who treated us like their own children and showed us that there’s no gap between teachers and students. We had enough time to find our true best friends. We learned to be mature and ready for high school. As the eldest in our school, we took the responsibility to be good role models for the 7th graders, 6th graders, and the rest of the younger children. There are four chapters in life: Being a kid in elementary, being a youth in middle school, being young men and women in high school and being adults facing the real world. It’s the end of our middle school year and we’re halfway there! High school here we come!”

Reyes, in his remarks, said: “Often on graduation day we look outside for heroes but I see them right here among us. I have seen in my years at this school that we do not have to look far for inspiration and that we each have the potential to make an inspiring contribution to others by being true to our values and committing ourselves to reach our goals.”

The more than 140 Chacha students received their certificates from principal Vince Dela Cruz, Education Commissioner Rita A. Sablan, Board of Education Chairwoman Marylou S. Ada, BOE member Herman T. Guerrero and other education officials. leadership team.

U.S. Congressman Gregorio Kilili Camacho Sablan also graced the ceremony.

“Our 8th grade students are definitely ready to be senior high schools students of Kagman High School by the next school year,” Commissioner Sablan said, as she hailed the school and the parents for their continued support.

“As we close the school year, I am proud to say that your school has been successful with its parental involvement,” she told the students and their parents.

She noted that from only about eight parents actively involved in various school activities, the number has grown to 134.

“Parents,” the commissioner said, “this promotion is not only about our children but it is how you hold tight the hands of your children to be successful members of this community.”

BOE Chairwoman Ada commended the contributions of the school and the community.

“I do not think that you will make it today without your principal, faculty and staff, and your parents and the community. We will see you after four years contributing back to the community,” she said.
