Led by Captain Mark Artero, team Cassidy-Fanui consisted of Mike Cassidy, Ray Flores, and Carl Dela Cruz.
“We caught tataga (unicorn fish), hangon (orange spine unicorn), guili (rudderfish), and skip jacks,” Flores told Variety after the event.
According to him, the group sailed near Cowtown where they caught most of their fish.
“The water was pretty rough,” he added.
A hundred pounds behind at 72.64 lbs., team Devil’s Ray’s Dave Camacho, Derek San Nicolas, and Tony Roberts took second place. Team Salty’s Robert Norita, David Lizama, and Manny Norita placed third at 61.8 pounds.
