The free health screening will include prostate specific antigen tests and digital rectal exam, clinical breast examination, random blood sugar testing, hemoglobin test and weight, blood pressure, body mass index, STI testing and TB screening.
The screenings will be conducted at the Division of Public Health at the state hospital including at the four health center sites on Yap Main Island particularly in Gagil, Tomil, Maap/Rumung and Nimgil.
The Department of Health has invited all the men in Yap to avail their time so they could attend one of the screenings which will begin at 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. from Monday, June 13, to Friday, June 17.
Since this is the week that “Father’s Day” falls on, the Department of Health is inviting the men to have their free screening as a gift to themselves.
In addition, all men who get one or more screenings will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win up to $100 worth of shopping vouchers that will be offered at each of the sites.
All men 18 years and older have been encouraged to attend the free screenings to make sure their health conditions are fine.
