Camacho totaled 693 pinfalls to bag her second straight title this year, averaging 173.25 per game. Mel Regis — just 40 pins away — settled for second place, followed by Lala Taitano (641) and Carol Mckenzie (628).
Camacho posted 196 pinfalls in game one, dropped to 158 in game two, and capped off at 145 and 194. Mckenzie’s game high 201 pinfalls at game four wasn’t enough to reach the top three. Regis scored 157, 158, 154, and 184 for a 163.25 average. Taitano started at 144 in game one and completed with 160, 159, and 178.
Brothers Raymond and Raphael Zapanta trailed Sto. Domingo at 733 and 716 pinfalls, respectively in the men’s division.
Sto. Domingo’s 790 mark was more than enough to claim first place, with a 197.5 average. With 225 and 214 pinfalls in games one and two, a good boost was all he needed to complete the run. Sto. Domingo finished Sunday’s roll-off with 153 and 198.
Raymond, claiming the men’s title in January, trailed the champion at 157, 193, 207, and 176. Raphael Zapanta followed with 222, 164, 165, and 165. Efren Cacdac (665 pinfalls) and Yong Woon Lee (654) completed the men’s top five.
10th ranked Jonathan Eparwa was last month’s king of the lanes at 827 pinfalls. Other winners this year include: Gloria Omechelang and Simon Manacop (March), Ron Cal and Robert Talavera (February), and Yho Villavicencio (January).
