Mobil falls to Konflikt, 81-67

Jhun Estolas’ two three pointers earned Mobil a shaky two point lead over team Konflikt during the first quarter.

Estolas’ five point rally with Gyles Ruluked’s six point mark gave team Mobil breathing space against team Konflikt keeping their two point lead above the opposing team; that was the last time team Mobil saw the light of the game.

Mobil fell away during the second half of the bout. Elmer Esdrelon nailed two three pointer shots followed by another pair of three pointers from teammates Jawn Joyner, Mike Umali, and Krisgel Arezza.

Esdrelon bagged a total of six points while Arezza contributed his five pence to foil team Mobil nabbing a 62-54 deficit at the bottom of the third quarter.

The last quarter proved to be fatal for team Mobil. Missed shots from last season’s MVP Jhun Estolas along with in-and-out baskets by their center players endangered the team’s title as Konflikt moved swiftly across the court.

Star player of the night Elmer Esdrelon fired three more down town shots and piling a total of 13 marks during the last quarter of the game was the end of Mobil, 81-67.
