Mckenzie is May’s Prince of the Lanes

Mckenzie tallied 663 pinfalls to overthrow reigning champion MJ Aldan and six other young bowlers.

Aldan scored 648 to win second place. Nikko Gutierrez took third at 580 pinfalls followed by Leeanne Yarobwemal (543) and John Taisacan (524).

Mckenzie fell 53 pins behind Aldan at game one, but improved to 163, 178, and 199 in games two to three. MJ dropped to 150 pinfalls in game two but recovered with 191 and 131.

Gutierrez posted 159, 127, 157, and 137 for a 145 average.

Ryan Batac scored 381 pinfalls for sixth place. Marcel Mckenzie earned 364 and Toby Verdaguer piled 329.

Marion’s absence in the past months allowed Aldan to claim the title since January. Mckenzie has not competed since the annual 2010 Prince or Princess of the Lanes Tournament in January.
