The re-opening is available for a limited time only so rebate vouchers will be issued on a first-come first-served basis while rebate vouchers lasts.
Because rebate vouchers are limited, the CNMI Division of Energy, in partnership with participating retailers, will be hosting a one-day only in-store sales promotional event on Saipan.
The program covers three types of qualified energy-efficient Energy Star rated appliances: clothes washers, refrigerators and window-type room air-conditioner units.
The new rebate amounts are as follows:
• Clothes washers – $500
• Refrigerators – $500
• Window-type A/C Units – $200
Staff from the CNMI Division of Energy will be available to assist applicants at the store locations listed below and will only be accepting and processing completed applications. Upon approval and issuance of rebate vouchers, recipients are required to redeem appliance rebate vouchers at the store location they submitted an application.
The store locations and date for this One-day only event are as follows:
• May 28, Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. only or when vouchers run out.
• ACE Hardware Store-Gualo Rai
• Pacific Home Appliance (Toshiba)-Garapan
• Taro Sue Store-Chinatown area
• YCO Do It Best Store-Chalan Kiya
In addition, our office will be distributing the remaining reimbursement checks at the ACE hardware store in Gualo Rai to individuals who have not already received their checks for the difference of the original rebate voucher amount for the purchase of qualified appliances under the program.
In order to receive your reimbursement check, you must present a valid CNMI driver’s license, U.S. passport or any other valid CNMI I.D. For individuals sending relatives, inform the Division of Energy in advance so it could make arrangements to release your check.
