The engineer arrived on Sunday. His company, which has been subcontracted by Wa’ab Construction Co., sent him to Yap to service and fix the problem on the Channel 14 UHF Transmitter for Wa’ab TV.
The broadcast technician for the Division of Media, Nestor Obien, and Wa’ab civil engineer Vince Pedrosa will be assisting Raymond Sioson in an attempt to find and fix the problem on the micro wave link system.
The team will first try to determine the problem with the link between the Division of Media and the transmitter site on top of Mt. Madeda and see if it could still be fixed with spare parts.
