Pacific Partnership pre-deployment site survey team visits Yap

The team paid a brief courtesy visit on Gov. Sebastian Anefal and Lt. Gov. Tony Tareg before meeting Director James Gilmar and his staff at the Department of Health Services.

During the meeting with the governor, it was pointed out the Pacific Partnership 2011 will visit five countries in the Pacific including the FSM.  The naval amphibious vessel will dock at the Pohnpei port and have fly-away medical missions to the other states.

Following their meeting at the Department of Health Services, the team also visited several Wa’ab Community Health Centers. Details of the medical assistance in early July will be coordinated closely between Lt. Carlos M. Coleman, medical regulating control officer of the U.S. military who is also on the visiting team and assigned health personnel from the Department of Health Services.
