This event was organized by the National Honor Society members who want to educate themselves and other students in career opportunities available to them.
Students feel that this event will open doors for students who are on the cusp of discovering their future careers.
Parents agree that high school students need “exposure” to careers.
They also need to acquire the ability to interact with people who are employed in a variety of careers.
A conference-style career day with a variety of presenters from which students can choose is one way to give students this exposure.
“Our students need more options to choose from other than the military,” said parent Melissa Guerrero. “The military is a great way to start but what their island really needs are better leaders and our children are our hope for a brighter future.”
