The Rota Chamorro Village Cultural Center, in partnership with the Office of the Mayor of Rota and the Rota Department of Community and Cultural Affairs, is having its ceremonial opening on Saturday, March 19, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, at the Rota Department of Community and Cultural Affairs site.
The Saipan Chamorro-Carolinian Village Cultural Center Headquarters, in partnership with the Indigenous Affairs Office, will have its ceremonial opening on Saturday, March 26, from 9:30 a.m. to 12 noon. The Saipan village cultural center headquarters also has its partnership with the Office of the Mayor of Saipan, the Office on Aging, and NMC-CREES, and is working on partnership with the Division of Youth Affairs.
Once opened, the centers will start having activities on Saturdays to teach young Chamorro and Carolinian adults about Chamorro and Carolinian traditional knowledge and practices.
