Polloi named chief of Palau aviation agency

Polloi, who was nominated by President Johnson Toribiong, must be confirmed by the two-thirds vote of the  13-seat Senate.

The post has been unoccupied for the past five years.

The PNAA oversees the management, development and security of the national airport including all civil aviation matters.

The administrator of the PNAA is appointed by the president for a term of five years and may not be removed except by the president and for a cause.

Polloi, who holds a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, served as manager of Palau Transportation Company.

In that capacity, he was responsible for managing the daily operations of PTC, which included supervising personnel, approving purchases and preparing monthly progress reports.
