The event took place on campus from 9:25 a.m. to 10:40 a.m. and was organized by the counseling department with Melanie Agulto as overall coordinator.
MHS invited representatives of government agencies and private companies.
The main objective was to afford the students the opportunity to explore an array of professions in their community.
Presenters included Lt. Gov. Eloy Inos.
“We believe that the participation of each agency will make a considerable, positive impact to many young minds that are poised to become significant part of the labor force in the CNMI,” the event organizers said.
Each speaker made two 30-minute presentations that included a background of themselves; their job descriptions; duties and responsibilities; the types of training they’ve undergone; education required for their position; advantages and disadvantaged of their profession; personal insights; and question and answer sessions.
Presenters were asked to provide visual aids such as photos, brochures, and charts to enhance their presentations.
Each class had the opportunity to learn about two careers.
