The four-day competition will take place at Garapan Basketball Court this weekend and next weekend.
“So far we have the G-Stars, Complex, and Rollers A, B, and C in the 16U division,” said Rollers’ head coach and tournament coordinator Joe Diaz.
“For the 18-and-under we’ll have G-Stars, Like A G6, and also Rollers A, B, and C.”
Registration is still open for new comers, added Diaz. All seeking to compete must register today. Entry fees are currently $100 per team. This may be reduced to $50 with the help of sponsors.
“We’d like to thank Jerry Tan and the Tan Siu Lin Foundation for donating trophies,” added the Rollers’ coach. “Right now we just need help for referees and table officials. Our main goal is just to try to accommodate these kids. We want to keep them proactive and out of trouble.”
Games on Saturdays will start at 5 p.m. and end at 9 p.m. Sunday matches last from 5 to 8 p.m. Also helping Diaz are coaches Juan Ogarto, Paul Camacho, and Ham Hambros.
The Rollers have had an increase in members since the New Year, and are still growing.
