(CNMI SBDC) — The CNMI Small Business Development Center Network at Northern Marianas College, in partnership with the Saipan Chamber of Commerce’s Armed Forces Committee, proudly announces Operation: Business Excellence, a specialized training designed to equip veterans and their families with the guidance, resources, and confidence to turn their military experience into entrepreneurial success.
The training will take place on Friday, Sept. 26, 2025, at the CNMI Innovation Incubator Office at 3290 Beach Road Plaza, Unit #5 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon
The training will introduce participants to valuable business resources and guidance while exploring the use of technology to assist with marketing, starting or developing their existing businesses. By fostering a strong connection between veterans and the local business community, the program aims to create a pathway to sustainable economic growth for both veterans and their families.
This training will include:
• Boots on the Ground: Business Resources 101 Veterans will be introduced to the wide range of programs and services offered by the SBDC. Participants will learn how to access tools, guidance, and networks designed to support their entrepreneurial mission.
• From Service to Start-Up Veterans will explore the step-by-step process of starting a business in the CNMI, from licensing to local opportunities. This training equips participants with the knowledge to successfully transition from military service to entrepreneurship.
• AI Command Center: Deploying Social Media Strategies This beginner-friendly workshop breaks down artificial intelligence and how it can be applied to social media marketing strategies. Veterans will gain practical insights on using AI tools to boost visibility, reach customers, and grow their business.
• Finance Firepower: Veteran’s Guide to Capital This training provides veterans with a solid foundation in financial literacy, commercial loans, and other funding opportunities. Attendees will discover how to secure and manage capital effectively to fuel long-term business success.
“Veterans are resilient and demonstrate how having discipline can lead to achieving mission success and readiness — similar to what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur and run a business. We’re excited to welcome back our interested veteran community in providing the guidance and resources they need to jumpstart that business idea or find ways to expand their current operations,” said Nadine Deleon Guerrero Kintol, CNMI SBDC Network director.”
