Hell of the Marianas Century Cycle on Dec. 6

“The Marianas Visitors Authority is pleased to welcome the partnership of the Saipan Unity Lions Club in organizing this year’s Hell of the Marianas,” said MVA Managing Director Jamika R. Taijeron. “The Saipan Unity Lions Club has hosted and organized many bike races in Saipan over the years, bringing over a decade of race coordination to our MVA signature event. We are excited to have their team and expertise on board in organizing and delivering another great Hell of the Marianas for local, regional, and international participants.”

In 2024, Hell of the Marianas attracted 160 registrants from 10 countries and territories. In the Professional Division 100K, Ryo Inoue of Japan crossed the finish line first in 3:08:34. Topping the Women’s Division on the long course was Miso Kim of South Korea, finishing in 3:29:28.

“We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with the MVA on this important race in support of tourism and our local biking community,” said Saipan Unity Lions Club President Angelica Lastimado. “Every year, our primary club fundraising activity has been a bike race, with all proceeds going directly back into our many community projects. Drawing from our experience with other races we organize throughout the year, we are happy to help bring together all bikers for another well-executed Hell of the Marianas in December.”

Registration details will be announced soon at www.hellofthemarianas.com/.

The Hell of the Marianas features a 100-kilometer course that winds through Saipan’s hills, valleys, and scenic byways. Participants must navigate 4,900 feet of ascents, including steep climbs and fast descents — making it a true test of endurance and skill. The event is open to both amateur and professional riders.
