BRAVES Jr. recorded another blowout victory in the Junior Division of the 2025 Saipan Little League Baseball by trouncing Ol’Aces Jr., 25-10, at the Francisco “Tan Ko” Palacios Baseball Field on Saturday.
Braves Jr.’s confidence showed from the batter’s box as they entered the top of the opening inning ready to swing. Leading off, Damian Marchadesch acted as the sparkplug, connecting on a single and stealing his way to third. The next two batters reached base on balls, quickly loading the diamond.
Donray Barcinas followed with a single that drove in two runs, and both Zekiel Falig and Barcinas later crossed the plate to cap a four-run burst beforeheading into the bottom half with a 4-0 lead.
Braves Jr.’s defensive performance was just as effective, as they didn’t allow Ol’Aces Jr. a single hit in the top of the second inning. They then added five more runs, highlighted by Zekiel Falig’s two-RBI single, to stretch the lead to 9-0.
Ol’Aces Jr. finally broke the silence in the bottom half, with Caleb Cabrera’s two-RBI single sparking a four-run rally that cut the deficit to 9-4.
Ol’Aces Jr. continued to ride their momentum in the third inning, holding Braves Jr. to just one run while scoring six of their own. The surge was highlighted by Kyler Laniyo’s two-RBI double, which helped bring the game to its first deadlock, 10-10.
Ol’Aces Jr.’s time in the spotlight was short-lived, as they couldn’t stop Braves Jr. from reigniting their offense in the top of the fourth. Fueled by a flurry of hits and defensive errors, Braves Jr. cycled through their batting lineup twice and erupted for 15 runs to retake the lead, 25-10, enforcing the 10-run mercy rule.
With Ol’Aces Jr. held scoreless in the bottom half, the game ended early as Braves Jr. secured yet another dominant win.
Also celebrating a double-digit victory were Marlins Jr., who nearly shut out Cobras Jr. in a commanding 24-1 performance.
