THE NMI Women’s National Team ended the LPK Cup 2025 on a high note as they reigned supreme against Tuloy Football Club, 4-1, in Hong Kong on Friday.

The NMI didn’t get the start they hoped for, allowing Tuloy to strike early with a quick goal. However, they showed resilience, gradually building momentum and leveling the score by halftime thanks to Jannah Casarino’s penalty conversion, making it 1-1.

The NMI carried their momentum into the second half, with Pia Ngewakl scoring twice and Jannah Casarino adding her second goal to seal a 4-1 victory.

“This match is a testament to the progress our WNT made during this tournament and training camp. Competing against strong opponents, even in losses, has been important to our development, and our performance proved the benefits of that experience,” said NMI team manager Mikky Vargas.

Following the match, a closing ceremony was held during which three players per team were recognized as MVPs. The NMI MVPs for the tournament were Dianne Pablo, Kaithlyn Chavez, and Jannah Casarino.

The LPK Cup is held in honor and memory of Lam Pek Kim, the beloved mother of CNMI businessman, philanthropist and sports enthusiast Jerry Tan. The tournament brings together global women’s football teams in Hong Kong to celebrate the values of teamwork, perseverance, and community spirit.
