Truth 148: Common Sense & the UGLY!

By Ambrose M. Bennett – Activist

THE Truth is “most people DO have common sense” like the editor quoted in his Editorial but it seems only the Common Bigots are willing to speak out. I write Op eds FOR the People in hopes of helping the thousands of People who are adversely affected by “what our leaders DO and what they FAIL-to-Do.” Ambrodamus has always remained on the “Good-side making Good-trouble” in hopes of insuring BETTER Outcomes FOR the People, and not to please a handful of Bigots in the comment section who can only focus on BS and Character Assassination attempts proving their wickedness as if they NEVER attend Mass or a church. I’m not against atheists but I am against the evil these “you-know-what stink that mostly comes from 50 yrs. ago.” The sad part is tooooo many Leaders & Stewards of the CNMI prefer to allow the stink in the comment section to rule over “fumigating FOR Real Solutions to emerge.” Who lives in the past 50 years ago when our very FUTURE is at stake, as what will WE do to make sure OUR next budget Is Not depending on Federal Hand-Outs & Loans, as the American Dream & Prosperity are Lost Commodities in the CNMI, so People continue leaving for a Better Life because of the UGLY & IMPOTENT  Leaders in our Beautiful Islands that needs real cleaning (voted OUT of Office)!

The comment section was meant for “constructivism not destructionists’ tactics.” If WE the People allow Bigots to control the simple comment section, what does that say about the checks on WHO is controlling OUR Government, as TAYA — In from the People = TAYA-Out FOR the People, which is HOW Democracy Works! I’m saying this because I understand why most People with common sense don’t want any part of the Bigots’ distractions from “reality & the truth,” however, WE the People must learn to “Say & Do Something” or it will continue to be the Same-O!  “All it takes for evil & corruption to exist is for the Good & Just People with Common Sense to “Do & Say Nothing” — and that’s the fact Jack that WE are facing! Our Democracy DEMANDS Legislative & Public Accountability but the only accountability WE have been experiencing for nearly a decade is the UGLY “too-darn-late & after-the-fact”. The CNMI won’t Change for the BETTER until WE Change!

The TRUTH is WE are now learning “the Office of the Public Auditor and the Department of Finance on Thursday released the CNMI single audit report, which found $257.4 million in questioned costs,” which is a around one hundred million dollars more than our present budget. Given the destitute situation, Common sense tells me, and I’m sure thousands, that an investigation is warranted but will our Legislature act on their own to generate “Oversight” on OUR millions or will they PRAY there is no public outcry, so they don’t have to put their butts on the line. Even though it was the leaders in 2020-2022 who WATCHED this injustice happen and “FAILED to DO their fiduciary duty to maintain constant “checks & balances” on OUR Purse (money). What will the present Legislature DO to ensure this waste NEVER happens again???  In fact, these missing millions is just more PROOF of the Governor going “unchecked by the Legislature & Our Justice System.”  So, will the real stewards (the People) of the CNMI demand “JUSTICE” through Public Outcry or will this fall on deaf ears AGAIN only to be another “Ambrodamus I Told You So,” as “injustice anywhere is a threat to justice EVERYWHERE,” Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. WE can’t afford to continue the SAME -O UGLY misuse of our $$$$! We need MORE Public Accountability!

Common Sense surrounding our economic dilemma is clearly dictating there needs to be some “desperate measures” for these genuine “desperate times,” like FDR did to end the Great Depression. And yes, the Governor has taken a step in the right direction with the Economic Council who needs to be working at “lightening-speed” to turn things around. But Ambrodamus, Zaldy, Mr. Jang and others have already been offering Economic Reforms to execute to no-avail! It is just downright UGLY for Senators & Representatives to receive emails & calls from Ambrodamus yet refuse to even confirm receipt — so who is really disrespectful, as you’re lucky I’m not calling names but the next time I WILL — so be WARNED!  It is downright UGLY for our leaders to pretend they NEVER READ the Paper & Editorials of Zaldy, my Op eds nor Mr. Jang’s letters for an excuse to be IMPOTENT! It’s downright UGLY to allow Bigots to rule in any public forum. It is downright UGLY for WASTE to be exposed with the Cannabis & Casino Commissions, yet Rep. Yangetmai over Cannabis & Rep. Yumul over the Casino act like nothing is wrong when OVERSIGHT & Corrective Measures are clearly warranted as People are facing AUSTERITY! And don’t forget the UGLY 22-year unlimited-tax deal with J&P Holdings’ MACS that’s yielding TAYA but no one, not even the two Gubernatorial Candidates who want to be Governor & Lt. are impotent. It’s downright UGLY for Locals to face the runaround & avoiding serious People like Ambrodamus, Zaldy & Mr. Jang, which is part of the reason WHY our economy is in ICU. WE must establish a NEW Tourism Model to guide our efforts, but a Family Destination was Ambrodamus’ idea —duh! FYI, over 2,500 different protests by millions for “NO King” including the CNMI, yet NO protest on any of the waste & injustice-misuse of OUR money, HELLER! So, if OUR Good & Just People and Community Leaders don’t Learn-To-Start-Protesting the UGLY “injustices & abuses” with “Public Outcry” in every way, shape, form & fashion that they materialize in their UGLY connotations of “unprofessionalism & WORSE” WE will continue living the SAME-O,  I Told You So!
