CNMI SBDC Network expands business advising team through partnership with Island Training Solutions

(CNMI SBDC) — The CNMI Small Business Development Center Network, hosted by Northern Marianas College, proudly announces a new partnership with Island Training Solutions to expand and strengthen its business advising capacity across Saipan, Tinian, and Rota.

Through this collaboration, three highly experienced professionals — James “Jim” Arenovski, Jill Arenovski, and Alex Hu — will join the CNMI SBDC Network as business advisors under Island Training Solutions. This partnership doubles the SBDC’s advising capacity from three to six advisors, allowing the Network to meet the growing demand for small business support throughout the Commonwealth.

“Our team at Island Training Solutions is proud to announce our new partnership with the CNMI Small Business Development Center Network! We are excited to work with the CNMI SBDC to provide professional business advisor counseling services to businesses and entrepreneurs in the CNMI community. We would like to thank the CNMI SBDC for this opportunity and we are looking forward to assisting CNMI SBDC clients to achieve their business goals,” said Island Training Solutions.

James “Jim” Arenovski is the owner and president of Island Training Solutions, Prime Group Inc., and Delta Management Corporation. With over two decades of entrepreneurial experience, he has led multiple award-winning companies across the CNMI and Guam, including Shell-branded gas stations, Delta Auto Parts, and Church’s Chicken Guam. Jim founded Island Training Solutions in 2006 to advance workforce certification and professional development in the CNMI.

Jill Arenovski is a partner and instructor at Island Training Solutions, as well as the founder of two successful CNMI-based businesses — Saipan Stamper and Saipan Snaps. With a strong background in marketing, product design, and e-commerce, Jill has helped local products reach new markets and has represented the CNMI at international trade shows. She previously served as Executive Director of the Saipan Chamber of Commerce.

Alex Hu, chief operating officer at Island Training Solutions, brings over 15 years of experience in finance, management, and business development. He holds an MBA from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and a Bachelor’s in Finance from Rutgers University. Alex has worked with global firms such as Johnson & Johnson and Nestlé, and later founded Asia Pacific Education Services, a CNMI-based nonprofit organization.

The CNMI SBDC Network provides free, confidential, one-on-one business advising, training, and resources to entrepreneurs at every stage — from startup planning to expansion and succession. With this strengthened advisory team, the Network will be able to meet increased demand from the business community while continuing to deliver high-quality, tailored support.

“This partnership marks a milestone for our Network,” said Nadine Deleon Guerrero Kintol, CNMI SBDC network director. “We’ve seen a significant rise in client engagement, and this collaboration with Island Training Solutions ensures that we can meet that demand while maintaining the personalized, high-impact advising our clients have come to expect. We are incredibly grateful and excited to embark on this partnership, and thank Northern Marianas College’s leadership for their support in obtaining ITS’ much-needed expertise and services.”
