THE Jose and Ruri Ayuyu Foundation is proud to donate $500 to the Man Amigas Women Softball Team.

“We’re excited to support the Man Amigas Softball Team.  We’re especially proud to support female athletes in sports. Supporting teams that have female representation is important in promoting inclusivity and inspiring young girls to pursue their passion in sports. We’re proud of all the accomplishments of the Man Amigas Softball Team and look forward to them representing the CNMI,” said Marcia E. Ayuyu, owner/operator for McDonald’s of Guam and Saipan.

The Man Amigas softball team achieved an undefeated record and won the inaugural NMI Softball Association Women’s League 2024 championship, defeating the Batties in the finals. The team’s roster included players from the NMI Women’s National Fastpitch Softball Team, who had competed in the 2024 Micronesian Games.

They defeated the Batties in the championship series, with Man Amigas winning game 1 by a score of 12-2. The Man Amigas went undefeated throughout the season, with a 10-0 record, including a 10-0 shutout victory over the Dirty Diamonds.

Manny Sablan managed the team.

The NMI Softball Association is looking to have open tryouts for the women’s fastpitch team in January for the 2025 Pacific Mini Games in Palau.

“On Behalf of the Man Amigas softball team, we sincerely thank you for your generous donation of $500,” Jennifer Younis told the Jose and Ruri Ayuyu Foundation. “Your support means the world to us and is helping fund our trip to a prestigious island tournament that takes place every year. Your contribution plays a vital role in making this opportunity possible, and we are incredibly grateful for your generosity. We look forward to representing our team and community with pride. Thank you once again for believing in us and supporting our journey!”
