Cage of Fire II promises a white-hot night of action

(Press Release) — It’s going to be another “Christmas in the Cage” as Trench Tech is set to conclude a highly successful year of combat sports events with its final major event of 2025: Cage of Fire II, taking place on Saturday, Dec. 13, at the iconic Garapan Roundhouse.

This year has seen significant growth and momentum for the organization, highlighted by the action-packed Ring of Fire III this past summer and the well-received Mats on Fire II just last month. Cage of Fire II serves as the culminating showcase of Trench Tech’s commitment to elevating Marianas combat sports to new heights.

This event will also introduce Trench Tech’s bold new format — a no-judge, one-fall-to-a-finish-only system. Following a format adopted by other fight promotions worldwide, all fights will be decided strictly by knockout or submission. If neither occurs by the end of the scheduled two or three rounds, the contest will be declared a draw. Trench Tech Purebred Saipan and Trench Warz Promotions President Cuki Alvarez emphasized, “We want outcomes that are crystal clear and driven entirely by the fighters. This format puts the action first and ensures fans get raw, decisive competition.”

More than a dozen bouts are scheduled for the event, spanning kickboxing, boxing, and mixed martial arts, featuring both emerging prospects and seasoned competitors from across the Marianas. Headlining the card is the blockbuster heavyweight “Big Brawl” between Guam’s Dylan Benavente and Saipan’s Cody Dela Cruz, a matchup expected to deliver explosive power and deep island pride. Benavente is no stranger to the cage, as he delivered the fastest knockout in Trench Tech history with a six-second finish of Jesus Norita at the inaugural Cage of Fire event last year. “This main event is everything fans love — rivalry, heart, and two heavy hitters leaving it all inside the eight sides,” Alvarez added. “We’ve been building toward nights like this all year.”

Trench Warz Promotions Marketing Director and ring announcer L.J. Castro noted the excitement building across the islands, saying, “Cage of Fire II is the perfect finale to an incredible year. The fighters are ready, the fans are hyped, and this event will celebrate the strength of our combat sports community.” Alvarez echoed this momentum, adding, “From Ring of Fire III to Mats on Fire II and now Cage of Fire II, our supporters, athletes, and teams have made 2025 unforgettable. We’re proud to give the Marianas one more night of top-tier action.”

Tickets are available now at a special holiday price of $20 for advance purchase and $25 at the venue. They may be purchased at Borderline, Latte Built Gym, 4EVER CNMI, and the Trench Tech Gym in Garapan. Fans are encouraged to secure their seats early for what promises to be one of the most memorable fight nights of the year.
