On Saturday, March 1, 2025, twenty-five students from Japan who are part of the University Network for Global Leadership Development in West Japan were welcomed by the Public School System, led by Commissioner of Education Dr. Lawrence F. Camacho, standing center, as well as Dandan Middle School Principal James Sablan and Vice Principal Reo Arriola. The UNGL program allows these college students to interact with various Saipan schools, including Dandan Middle School, Chacha Ocean View Middle school, Gregorio T. Camacho Elementary School, William S. Reyes Elementary School, Oleai Elementary School and Kagman High School. They will also stay with local families to experience cultural immersion. The visiting students’ culminating project will be completed this Friday, March 7. The annual program has existed since 2012.
