(NMC) — Demonstrating its continued commitment to higher education in the CNMI, First Hawaiian Bank has contributed $5,000 to the Northern Marianas College Foundation in support of Golf Open on March 22 and 23, 2025.

“At First Hawaiian Bank, we believe that investing in education is investing in the future of our community,” said Vickie Izuka, vice president and CNMI area manager of First Hawaiian Bank. “Through our support of NMC’s Golf Open, we are proud to help expand educational opportunities that empower students and uplift our islands.”

The NMC Golf Open will be a two-day tournament, with a registration fee of $250 per player.

“First Hawaiian Bank’s investment in education through this event helps drive positive change in the CNMI, creating opportunities one student and one swing at a time,” said Ben Babauta, chair of the NMC Foundation. 

The tournament, which is also the signature event of the NMC Foundation, aims to raise funds to build and equip modern, innovative campus facilities that will help expand the CNMI’s workforce development efforts, stimulate economic growth, and provide access to quality education for the residents of the islands.

Like previous tournaments, this year’s event will feature thousands of dollars in incredible prizes, including a 2024 Lexus RX350 from Atkins Kroll Saipan, a 2025 Nissan Kicks from Joeten Motors, a vehicle from triple j motors, a $20,000 cash prize from Ambyth Shipping and Seafix, a $10,000 shopping spree from Top Shelf Wine and Spirits, a $10,000 cash prize from Crowne Plaza Resort Saipan, a $10,000 cash prize from TurnKey Solutions, a $10,000 cash prize from Pacifica Insurance Underwriters, and a $3,000 cash prize from McDonald’s of Saipan.
