THE destruction caused by Super Typhoon Sinlaku over two months ago left a void in the hearts of those who enjoy the dinner show offerings at Crowne Plaza Resort Saipan.

Now, the Hafa Adai spirit is returning as the Ataari Dinner Show reopens in a temporary location, offering a brand-new experience where diners can once again enjoy sunsets, local delicacies, music and cultural dance performances.

On Wednesday, the Ataari Dinner Show hosted guests, community members and representatives for a special preview of the reopening of one of the CNMI’s most popular entertainment attractions.

Executive Chef Chris Adams said tourists and local residents alike can continue to enjoy the show, music and food, including fresh barbecues and other local delicacies that reflect island flavors.

“We want everybody to come in, and we want everybody to enjoy the culture,” Adams said, noting that Crowne Plaza has done a great job maintaining the authenticity of its local food offerings.

He emphasized that the Ataari Dinner Show is not only for tourists.

“If local residents want to come in and enjoy it, we are open to everybody. We have always been a locally inspired hotel, and we are going to continue that,” he said.

Although the dinner show is designed for visitors who may not have tried traditional local cuisine, residents are also encouraged to experience it.

Food and Beverage Manager Queenie Cabatan-Villamin said the beachfront area at Crowne Plaza will serve as the temporary location of the Ataari Dinner Show while repairs are ongoing at its permanent facility.

She said the show invites both guests and local residents to enjoy the food, cultural performances, and the resort’s beachfront sunset experience.
