THE Cubs clinched third place in the Majors Division of the 2026 Saipan Little League season on Saturday after an offensive display against the Cobras in a five-inning game, 11-3, at Miguel “Tan Ge” Pangelinan Ballfield.
The Cubs wasted no time setting the tone, retiring three consecutive Cobras runners at first base to quickly shut down the opposition’s offense in the top of the opening inning. In the bottom half, the Cubs scored six runs on just two hits, capitalizing on defensive miscues and three walks, while Borja and Crisostomo delivered RBI singles to take a 6-0 lead.
While the Cobras’ offense struggled through the first three innings, the Cubs added another run in the third and two more in the fourth and fifth innings to extend their lead to 9-0.
A brief fourth-inning rally saw the Cobras score three runs off errors, but they could not complete the comeback. The Cubs responded with three more runs in the bottom of the fifth to seal the 11-3 victory and secure third place.
