THE CNMI Division of Revenue and Taxation has announced the official start of the 2025 tax filing season, with tax forms now available online at finance.gov.mp and in person at the DRT office. Taxpayers are encouraged to file as early as possible and take advantage of the resources available to ensure a smooth filing process.
While DRT is committed to modernizing taxpayer services, the planned online filing and payment portal will not be available in time for the 2025 tax season. Taxpayers must continue to file returns and make payments through existing methods, including in-person submissions at the DRT office. Updates on the online portal’s development will be provided as progress continues.
Important filing reminders
• Taxpayers can download necessary forms from finance.gov.mp or pick them up at the DRT office during business hours.
• Filing early helps taxpayers avoid last-minute issues and potential processing delays.
• Ensure all required documents are included to prevent delays.
• Double-check personal information and details before submission.
• Choose a tax preparer.
• The fastest way to receive a refund is to select direct deposit. Checks are more likely to have issues such as being lost, misdirected, stolen, or uncashed.
• DRT’s online filing and payment system is in development but will not be available this tax season.
• Contact DRT at (670) 664-1040 for any filing inquiries.
As part of its ongoing commitment to taxpayer assistance, DRT will continue expanding out- reach efforts throughout the filing season. Taxpayers should stay informed about upcoming workshops, updates, and additional support resources by visiting finance.gov.mp/.
