Korean diving operators clear road to Laulau Bay

THE Northern Marianas Korean Diving Operators cleared thick foliage and made the road to Laulau Bay passable on Sunday.

The group trimmed overgrown tree branches and repaired sections of the road that had eroded due to torrential rains.

The diving operators said they wanted to help clear the area and road to improve access to Laulau Bay, one of the island’s most popular diving spots.

The diving operators, who are all PADI certified instructors, are: Changbok Lee of Aqua Dive, Junho Lee of Dive Saipan, Junghak Song of Dive Y2K, Seonghwan Kwak of Deep Blue, Youngsik Jeon of Deep Blue Sea, Kim Gangyoung  of H2M Saipan, Yu Hyun of Shawn Dive, Sunil Kwon and Seoungbo Shim of ProDivers Saipan,  and Angel Hermoso and Mickey Kim of Saipan Adventure.

Toshi Yamaguchi of Marianas Sports Club, and Tomoe Yoshida of Big Eye, both members of the Northern Mariana Diving Operators Association, also joined the group.
